Are you a high school student who thrives in a flexible learning environment? 
Do you prefer to learn at your own pace, from the comfort of your home? 

If so, the Morley Stanwood High School virtual option might be perfect for you! 

All necessary technology will be provided. Want some in-person interaction or academic assistance? Our Online Learning Center is open to all virtual students during the school day. You can utilize school transportation, receive breakfast and lunch, and work on your virtual courses. Students participating in the MSHS virtual option will graduate with a Morley Stanwood High School diploma, just like any other student!

Q: Is on-campus attendance required for students enrolled in the Morley Stanwood Virtual Option?
A: No, students will not be required to attend face-to-face. However, the Learning Lab will be open to students to access on-campus support services.

Q: Are virtual students able to utilize Morley Stanwood Community Schools Transportation to get to and from the on-campus “Learning Lab”?
A: Yes, students are able to receive transportation to and from campus. Students who travel to campus in the AM must stay a full school day to utilize PM transportation for travel home. Please keep in mind that this is a privilege and individualized behavior plans may affect access to transportation.

Q: Will Virtual Option students be able to access breakfast and lunch when they attend the Learning Lab?
A: Yes, Virtual School students will be able to access the vending machines for breakfast in the morning and they will be able to get their lunch during their designated lunch time separate from the traditional high school lunch.

Q: Are students able to participate in school-sanctioned extracurriculars/athletics if they are enrolled in the Morley Stanwood Virtual Option?
A: No, students enrolled in the Virtual Option are not permitted to participate in school-sanctioned extracurriculars/athletics.

Q: Are students able to attend school-sanctioned dances or activities if they are enrolled in the Morley Stanwood Virtual Option?
A: Students enrolled in the Virtual Option will not be able to participate in traditional Morley Stanwood High School activities like dances. Instead, the Virtual Option will have its own planned activities to enjoy.

Q: Does Morley Stanwood Community Schools provide the necessary technology and access for students to be successful in learning virtually?
A: Yes, MSCS will provide a Chromebook to students enrolled in the Virtual Option, as well as a mobile hotspot for an internet connection, if needed.

Q: Do students who successfully complete the Morley Stanwood Virtual Option receive the same diploma as those students who attend the traditional high school?
A: Yes, students who attend the Virtual Option will be required to participate in the same credit requirements as the traditional high school; however, they will participate in a separate commencement ceremony from the MSHS commencement.


Q: Are students who have been expelled from Morley Stanwood Community Schools eligible to enroll inthe virtual school?
A: The Virtual School is a part of Morley Stanwood Community Schools; therefore, if a student has been expelled, they are not permitted to enroll in the Morley
